Have you ever walked in a healing forest? Have you ever heard a forest breathe, to the point where you feel that breath intertwining with your own?
In Fai della Paganella, there is a place where all this happens: Park of Breath, a 36-hectare therapeutic park surrounded by beech, fir and Scots pine trees. Here, nature is your teacher and guide. It teaches you to slow down, listen and rediscover your inner rhythm.
The Park of Breath is open to everyone: a place where you can connect with the energy of nature and let yourself be enveloped by its benefits. Here you can practise Forest Bathing, a discipline that originated in Japan, which invites you to immerse yourself in the forest, breathing deeply and letting yourself be guided by the stimuli of the environment. It is a simple and powerful experience: walking slowly, observing, touching, breathing.
The beech trees in this forest release monoterpenes, natural substances found in the essential oils of trees, which have therapeutic effects on the body and mind. Science confirms this: breathing the monoterpene-rich air of the woods helps to reduce anxiety and stress, lowers blood pressure, improves sleep and strengthens the immune system.
To amplify the benefits, we recommend repeated walks in the woods on consecutive days. Along the way, you will encounter special trees: the magical beech, the bioenergetic fir, silent companions that offer support and energy. Approach them, place your hand on their bark, listen. And if you want, hug them: tree hugging is an ancient and natural gesture that can give you a deep sense of well-being.
In summer, the park offers guided activities: meditation sessions in the woods with Brentanima practitioners, conscious breathing practices, and forest bathing experiences.
Here, among the beeches and fir trees of Parco del Respiro, nature speaks softly, and those who know how to listen to it find themselves.
