I spent my childhood and youth in San Lorenzo in Banale, but love took me elsewhere. Here, though, my deepest roots remain: my home, games in the streets, the scents of woodsmoke and cooking, and memories that do not fade.
To everyone I’m Gigioti’s daughter: my father, a cook and a maker of ciuìga with his friend Angel, left his mark with skilled hands and a kind smile. Even today, the scent of juniper brings me back to those moments.
For a few years now I’ve been retired, and time, which I used to lack, has become a precious gift. I enjoy my grandchildren, the mountains and the passions left on hold: I walk challenging trails and I act with the village theatre group.
When I come back to San Lorenzo in Banale, you’ll often find me at Bar Acli, behind the counter or at a table, between a coffee and a glass of wine, immersed in chats with people from the village. Confidences, laughs, little bits of gossip that fill the days with real humanity.
Maybe because of this talkative, curious nature, I became a Greeter. Telling my village through memories and emotions lets me relive my youth and share genuine connections. Because, even if life took me far away, San Lorenzo in Banale remains my home.
How can I help you
