I am a Greeter in San Lorenzo in Banale.
I spent my childhood and youth in San Lorenzo in Banale, but love took me elsewhere. However, my deepest roots remain here: my home, playing in the streets, the smells of wood and cooking, and memories that never fade.
Everyone knows me as Gigioti's daughter: my father, a chef and ciuìga sausage maker with his friend Angel, left his mark with his expert hands and warm smile. Even today, the scent of juniper brings those moments back to life.
I have been retired for a few years now, and time, which I used to lack, has become a precious gift. I enjoy my grandchildren, the mountains and the passions I had left unfulfilled: I walk along challenging trails and act with the village theatre group.
When I return to San Lorenzo in Banale, you will often find me at Bar Acli, behind the counter or at a table, between a coffee and a glass of wine, immersed in conversation with the locals. Confidences, laughter and a little gossip fill my days with true humanity.
Perhaps it is because of this talkative and curious nature that I became a Greeter. Talking about my village through memories and emotions allows me to relive my youth and share authentic bonds.
Because, even though life has taken me far away, San Lorenzo in Banale remains my home.
How can I help you
I will accompany you through the streets of San Lorenzo in Banale, among memories of youth, scents and stories of the village, such as that of my father Gigioti, an expert ciuìghe sausage maker.
