I create wooden sculptures with a chainsaw.
All I need to do is look at a log to imagine the shape it holds within. Often, the sculpture is already there, hidden in the wood: with imagination and patience, all I do is free it.
The chainsaw is my chisel, the tool with which I dialogue with the material.
When I start it up, the wood seems to wake up, and eagles, bears, owls and roe deer come to life from a seemingly dead log.
I have always been fascinated by forest animals. In each of them, I find the strength, freedom and beauty of nature.
It is this energy that I try to imprint on my sculptures: life returning to vibrate in the wood, the deep bond between man and forest.
How can I help you
I create wood sculptures with a chainsaw: I can show you my work or create a sculpture on request, inspired by forest animals or nature.
