Molveno is home to Italy's most beautiful lake. We're not the only ones who say so: Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club agree, awarding it five sails for the past ten years.
Here, nature has done things right. The crystal-clear water reflects the Brenta Dolomites. The beaches resemble English lawns and the lake trail offers a walk through woods and panoramic viewpoints.
The lake can also be admired from above. Taking the La Panoramica cable car up to the Pradel plateau, the lake opens up below you, while above you can see the most famous peaks of the Brenta Dolomites: Cima Tosa, the highest in the group, Campanil Basso and Croz dell'Altissimo.
These are the mountains that have inspired generations of mountaineers and walkers and which, at sunset, are tinged with pink in the unique spectacle of the enrosadira.
The trails, easy or more challenging, lead to mountain huts where a plate of polenta, canederli or hot barley risotto become the reward for a day spent among rocks and woods, accompanied by a cold beer and the smiles of the Molveno locals.
