In Fiavè, you can take a real step back in time.

The Pile Dwelling Museum takes you back to the Bronze Age: it displays vases, bronze, amber and gold jewellery, wooden tools and food remains preserved for over 3,500 years, discovered in excavations in the nearby archaeological area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The daily life of the ancient inhabitants takes shape before your eyes: each room recounts gestures, crafts and domestic activities, while the large model of the village, with over seventy characters, immerses you in a world suspended between water and land.

Not far away, at the Parco Archeo Natura, that world comes back to life among reconstructed stilt houses and suspended walkways. Every hut and every detail tells stories of ingenuity and daily life on the shores of the ancient Lake Carera, which has now disappeared.

In its place lies a protected biotope, one of the largest nature reserves in Trentino, a refuge for frogs, herons and dragonflies.
